Phu My Hung is a new development just outside the main part of downtown Ho Chi Minh City. The plan is based around an area known as The Crescent which follows a gentle curve of a tributary of the Saigon River. The region is aimed at the needs of growing businesses, expatriates and the Vietnamese middle class. The Crescent comprises of 50 retail outlets, residential and commercial interests and is home to companies such as UniLever.
The aim of the region is to provide an upscale living, dining and shopping precinct encompassing the lake. The Crescent is a pedestrian based area that links up with the stunning Starlight pedestrian bridge.
